This month’s workshop will focus on options available to property owners for legally adjusting rents under the Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO). If you are a landlord, do you know what they are and how you may apply for a rent adjustment for your property?

The workshop will briefly highlight all programs that may help property owners recover costs for work performed on the property and will focus specifically on the Capital Improvement Program. The Capital Improvement Program encourages landlords to invest in modernizing RSO buildings and decreases future operational costs. The program splits the cost of approvable expenditures 50/50 between the landlord and all tenants benefiting from the improvement.

This workshop is recommended for landlords and their family members who assist or will assist them in managing their properties, tenants, banks and lenders, trustees, servicing companies, listing agents, and anyone contemplating buying or selling rental property in the City of Los Angeles.
