Craig Arceneaux currently serves as the Acting Assistant General Manager for the Housing Development Bureau (HDB), and is leading the team during the transition and search for a permanent Assistant General Manager. With an impressive twenty-five years of experience in the affordable housing industry, Craig’s expertise in finance and construction is invaluable in driving HDB’s mission forward.

Before stepping into his current role, Craig led LAHD’s Technical Services Division as Director. There, he and his talented team provided essential technical construction support to HDB, covering everything from construction and prevailing wage monitoring to architectural plan reviews, relocation assistance, environmental reviews, and managing the Handyworker program.

Craig’s journey has been comprehensive and impactful. As a Housing Programs Manager (HPM) in LAHD’s Asset Management Division, he ensured efficient program management. His roles as a Finance Development Officer (FDO) in both LAHD’s Asset Management, and Development and Finance Divisions, demonstrate his financial acumen. Craig also made significant contributions as a Rehabilitation Project Coordinator (RPC) in the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), and as a Rehabilitation Construction Specialist (RCS) in the Development and Finance Division, and the Neighborhood Preservation Program.​
