The City of Los Angeles, in partnership with the State of California and the federal government, has created the 2021 COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP)  to assist residential renters who have been unable to pay their rent as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Los Angeles Housing + Community Investment Department (HCIDLA) is charged with the implementation of the ERAP.
