Join the Los Angeles Housing Department’s webinar as we provide a basic overview of the various types of No-Fault evictions allowed under the Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO) and the Just Cause Ordinance (JCO). No-fault evictions include when a landlord evicts a tenant for owner occupancy, resident manager, compliance with a government agency’s order, permanent removal from the rental market, etc. All no-fault evictions require landlords to file a Declaration of Intent to Evict and the payment of relocation
assistance. Moreover, the webinar will offer guidance regarding filing all notices for terminating a tenancy, which must be filed with the Department within three business days of service on the tenant, as per the Los Angeles Municipal Code 151.09.C.9 and 165.05.B.5.
Staff will provide an overview of the relocation requirements for no-fault evictions.
The webinar will be a one-hour session held online via Zoom. At the end of the presentation, a Q&A period will follow.
