ULA Income Support

As part of the comprehensive approach to end and prevent homelessness in the City of Los Angeles, the ULA Income Support Program (ISP) provides financial assistance directly to eligible low-income renter households that have a senior and/or person with a disability and are at risk of being displaced from their homes. The first round of the ISP is currently underway, providing a one-time lump sum of $20,000 to about 500 families. With support from, United Way of Greater Los Angeles (UWGLA), participants receive a free public benefits consultation from the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA), with technical assistance from Change Well Project (CWP). Application for future rounds of the ISP will reopen in the near future as revenue is generated by the voter-approved Measure ULA tax on high-end property transfers. The Income Support Dashboard provides interactive data on participants’ household demographics, Council District, and total amount of income support disbursed.
