City of Los Angeles Housing Department (LAHD) inspectors are not affiliated with any other government agency and work solely to ensure habitability of housing units. Our focus is to ensure your home is safe, healthy, and up to code. LAHD will not ask about your immigration status at any point during the inspection process. Assistance is available for all Angelenos regardless of immigration status.
