The Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO) has been in effect since 1979 and applies to 74% of multi-rental housing in Los Angeles. The RSO applies to rental properties first built on or before October 1, 1978, and units originally RSO that were demolished and replaced on or after July 16, 2007. This webinar will discuss the legal responsibilities of landlords and tenants under the ordinance, including allowable rent increases, legal reasons for evictions, payment of relocation assistance, and much more. To determine if your unit is subject to the RSO, visit zimas.lacity.org, enter your address, and click the Housing tab. The RSO status will be displayed.
The webinar will be a one-hour session held online via Zoom. At the end of the presentation, there will be a Q&A period.
